Revamping our Friend Morris

Morris is our second main guy here at megmurphy.com. Morris is the idea thinker, the genius behind all of this. He did need a bit of a revamp, so I decided to paint him. I wanted an untidy kind of look. I’m not really a painter, which made it twice as hard. So the first thing I had to do was buy paints and a paintbrush. I went to my local Arts and Hobby and picked it all out, went for fast drying paint because I thought it would dry in a few minutes and I’m not very patient! I came home, got set up and started painting. It was really difficult because I didn’t really want to touch Morris as he was wet from the paint. I gave up trying not to touch Morris  and the wet paint 30 seconds later. When it was all finished I put Morris outside to dry, thinking it might help. Then the first problem started … the kitchen smelt of paint and then secondly I noticed when I was cleaning that some of the paint would not come off the kitchen sink. Coming back to Morris, he had still had not dried so I decided that the paint was not actually fast drying. So I left Morris for the night and he was all dry by the morning. I put the notes back in him and sat him back on my table....

Wanderlust

Today I went out for dinner with my Mum, in a restaurant called Wanderlust. Its one of our favourite restaurants. We go their so often that they all know our names and what we usually order. My favourite thing to order is calamari. They also have very good cocktails I sometimes get a raspberry mojito. They are all very friendly and nice. Their is a gap where you can see them cooking which is really nice because you get to see how a kitchen works and how they work together. Some times me and my Mum just like to share stuff. This evening we had calamari, pork yuk sung, fish tacos and sweet potato fries. It is a really nice restaurant you definitely should try it. You should go check out their website Wanderlust....

Gluttony Restaurant

Today for my lunch I went to a new gluten free restaurant called Gluttony. They served loads of nice things including small cakes, sandwiches, coffee, hot chocolate etc. It was a small place with only 2 indoor tables which was upsetting but would not put me of it. I had a ham, cheese, lettuce, mayo, relish it sounds like a lot but when put together it just worked so well and was not to big. I was a bit worried about gluten free bread but it was really nice and fluffy. It was very messy but me and my Dad always say the messier the better. I would really recommended you to check it out.  Check out their Facebook Page Gluttony....
